The tranquil district of Peró has historical and natural resources, which are in a perfect harmony. The Peró beach, the only beach of the Rio de Janeiro State, which has zero of tax of pollution, has almost 8 km, one the most extensive beaches of the region, is located between the Vigia Hill and Caravelas Point. From the Peró beach you can see the extraordinary view formed by islands of Cabritos, Papagaios and Comprida. Everything is protected by Serra das Emerenças.

From the Hostel can be admired the Piaçava Hill, the Environment Preservation Area of Pau Brasil, where can be found some units of the extinct species of PAU BRASIL.

Few meters from the Hostel there are the immense changeable mountains and valleys of white and fine sand, which form the Peró Dunes. They are of rare beauty scenery, where you can venture on practicing sand boarding.

You cannot forget of to register the scenery view from the top of the Vigia and Arpoador Hills. You will figure out why the origin of the name of Conchas beach, which is located at the Sambaquis Reserve, behind the Pitangueiras Hill. Conchas is a small bay; its nickname is Salt Pool. That is perfect to fishing, practicing some nautical sports as: swimming, water-skiing, scuba, windsurfing, hydro gym and can be enjoyed on the Banana boat.

Besides, Peró and Conchas beaches you will astonished with the panoramic view of Brava beach, the favorite by surfers and people who like to practice nudism. That is located behind the hills of Sambaquis Reserve, with access by crossing the vegetation of the Mata Atântica. On the top those hills you can admire the Japonês Island.
